Carmel Said Formosa, PhD, MA, BA, B.Com.
Carmel Said Formosa holds a Bachelor of Honours degree in Accounting and a Masters Degree in financial services from the University of Malta. She is also in possession of an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT) and a Diploma in Indirect Tax from the Chartered Institute of Taxation (UK). In addition she successfully completed the Doctoral Program in International Business Taxation (DIBT) in June 2015. Taking an interdisciplinary approach her thesis investigated the effect of financial transaction taxes on financial markets. Carmel is currently employed as a full time lecturer at the University of Malta, within the Faculty of Accounting, Economics and Management.
