Dmitry comes from Russia. He received his bachelor’s degree in Economics (BSc Volkswirtschaftslehre) from the University of Bonn (2018) and his master’s degree in Economics (MSc Economics) from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (2020). In his bachelor’s thesis, he focused on the role of suspense and surprise in entertainment demand with the application to football. In his master's thesis, he studied the determinants of Chinese outward foreign direct investment in Belt and Road Initiative countries and measured their gaps. He was working as a research assistant at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) on the international research project “Challenges and Opportunities of Economic Integration within a Wider European and Eurasian Space”.
