Christina Dimitropoulou, PhD, MSc.

Christina comes from Greece. She graduated from the Athens Law School in 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in Law. She then obtained a Master‘s degree in Public Law from the Athens Law School in 2012 and a further Master‘s degree in Tax Law and Public Finance from the University of Aix-Marseille III in 2013. She has been a member of the Athens Bar Association since 2010. She has worked as a lawyer in several law firms in Athens, specializing both in public and tax law. Since 2014, she has practiced exclusively tax law (local and international) in the tax consulting and tax litigation department of PwC Greece. In September 2017, Christina Dimitropoulou started her doctoral studies under the DIBT program at WU, which she successfully finished in June 2022 with honors. Her doctoral thesis was on “Robot Taxation: Normative Tax Policy Analysis, Domestic and International Tax Considerations”. During her doctoral studies, Christina Dimitropoulou participated in many conferences and seminars as a lecturer and panelist, received awards for her publications and collaborated with the WU Global Tax Policy Center in several projects on digitalization and taxation. Her areas of expertise focus on digital taxation, international and European tax policy and tax administrative procedures. In 2019, she has been nominated as one of the TaxCOOP’s 35 Leaders of the Future of Taxation, a distinguished recognition program for the most promising young tax policy enthusiasts who passionately contribute to the advancement of taxation and tax justice. Christina Dimitropoulou continues her academic career as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer at WU since July 2022.
