Information for bachelor's students in Business Law

Through an Erasmus+ internship abroad, you can gain professional experience and strengthen your CV.

In the bachelor's program in Business Law, internships are not eligible for the recognition of ECTS credits, but they provide valuable experience that will support your future career.

Completing an internship during the semester break makes it easy to combine work experience with your studies at WU Vienna.

You can benefit financially by receiving both an internship salary (if applicable) and an Erasmus+ internship grant at the same time.

As a bachelor's student in Business Law, you have the opportunity to broaden your academic and international experience by participating in an International Short Program.

If you choose a specialization with a focus on Business Administration, you may be able to transfer ECTS credits earned during a suitable International Short Program toward your degree. Information about credit transfer opportunities is available on the websites of each program.

Based on previous experiences and short programs, students in the following specializations have particularly good opportunities for credit transfer:

The master's program in Business Law offers a wide range of international opportunities, including the option to spend an exchange semester abroad.

In close cooperation with the master's program, WU Vienna recommends selected partner universities and reserves exchange places specifically for Business Law master's students. This means that applicants compete only with fellow students from the Business Law master's program, and the available exchange places are exclusively reserved for them.

Due to the flexible structure of the curriculum, it is possible to transfer credits earned during your exchange semester. To see which courses have been successfully recognized in the past, you can consult the Credit Transfer Online Database provided by the Study Regulations & Credit Transfer team (Study Service Center).

Master's students in Business Law can enrich their studies by participating in the THEMIS program and earn a Joint Certificate in International and Business Law.

THEMIS is offered by the International Legal Network of Excellence and is designed for students with a strong interest in international and business law.

The program combines three key components: an exchange semester at a WU partner university, an international internship, and a THEMIS seminar.

If you successfully complete all program requirements, you will be awarded the Joint Certificate in International and Business Law, recognizing your international academic and professional expertise.
