International experience during your Business Law studies

International experience is an important part of your academic and professional development. While a traditional exchange semester is generally not recommended for bachelor's students in Business Law, there are alternative opportunities to gain international experience without affecting your study progress.

Why an exchange semester is not recommended during the bachelor's program

The bachelor's program in Business Law focuses primarily on Austrian law. Therefore, courses completed abroad can only be transferred for credit to a limited extent. As a result:

  • Completing a full semester workload abroad is not possible

  • You may not meet the requirements for a mobility grant (e.g., Erasmus+)

  • Participating in an exchange semester is likely to extend your overall duration of studies

For these reasons, we recommend pursuing an exchange semester at a later stage of your studies. Particularly during your Master's degree, there are more suitable opportunities for internationalization and credit transfer.
