You need to have completed or be currently enrolled in a relevant degree program at a recognized Austrian or foreign post-secondary institution which meets the following criteria:

• The program comprises at least 180 ECTS credits (corresponding to three academic years).

• 45 ECTS credits have to be earned by passing exams in the field of business administration.

Please note: The requirements listed above have to be documented by the uploaded documents (e.g., transcripts, diploma supplement, university confirmations, etc.). It is not necessary to have completed the relevant degree program at the time of application. The proof of completion of your degree program is required for the actual enrollment.

¹⁾ The weighted grade point average (GPA) of all exams completed as part of the relevant WU study program (GPA of 2.5 or lower) at the time of application. WU students can download the GPA confirmation as a PDF (see Tools & Services).

If their GPA is above 2.5, WU graduates can still apply for the MSc Marketing program by submitting a GMAT with a total score of at least 500.

²⁾ A letter of recommendation written in English by a course teacher, an advisor or supervisor of an academic thesis, or the educational institution at which the course or courseswere attended or the academic thesis was written, detailing your achievement potential.
                                

• A valid GMAT score of minimum 500 points has to be uploaded during the application process in the form of the score report (pdf) or a screenshot of the score that includes the applicant's personal details for identification purposes. For more information, please check the website of WU's Admission Office here.

• When taking the GMAT exam, it is very importnat to select WU as a “Score Report Recipient”. Only then would WU have access to the GMAT score reports directly from the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) and can verify the score on GMAC's website or the portal of the third parties.

• Please note that the average GMAT score of accepted applicants in the program is 600 and applicants with a score below 500 are rejected automatically. Only WU alumni may provide a valid GPA score (2.5 or lower) instead of a GMAT score.

• Please allow enough time for GMAT test registration and evaluation. The official confirmation of your result, which you must upload, may take up to twenty days.

• GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is not accepted.

You need to provide a proof of level C1 or higher according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Note that only one of the listed options needs to apply:

• English as your native language

• Full bachelor's program done in English (university confirmation required)

• Full master's program done in English (university confirmation required)

• A valid certificate (official or unofficial test report): TOEFL iBT 100 or higher, TOEFL IBT Home Edition 100 or higher, IELTS 7.0 or higher (academic or online indicator version), Cambridge English: CAE (Certificate of Advanced English), CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) or BEC Higher (Business English Certificate Higher), UNIcert III, Oxford Test of English (150 points or higher, can be obtained at the WU Business Language Center).

• A certificate from a university language center confirming the applicant has achieved level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.The certificate has to prove that you took one or more tests to assess your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. These skills should correspond to level C1 or higher according to the CEFR. Course transcripts or confirmations about your overall language skills or certain language courses will not be accepted as proof of your language skills. If you are not sure whether your language certificate fulfills these criteria, please submit one of the standardized tests mentioned above.

Graduates of WU’s Bachelor's Program in Business and Economics, Bachelor's program in Business Law and Bachelor's Program in Business, Economics and Social Sciences already fulfill this requirement.
