WU offers selected scholarships to students participating at the ISUWU. These scholarships highlight WU’s focus on CEE and emerging markets regions. Students can apply for a scholarship during the online application, if they meet the respective criteria.
The scholarship fee can vary for ISUWU 2020, depending on the participation fees. The information below is for orientation and refers to ISUWU 2019.
WU scholarship for students from GBSN member schools
Students studying at GBSN member schools in developing countries are invited to apply for a WU scholarship for the ISUWU. In 2020, WU provides 5 scholarship positions. The selected students will receive a travel grant of up to 500 EUR and the scholarship covers the services listed below.

Reduced fee for students from CEE partner universities
As a strategic focus of WU, students studying at selected WU partner universities in Eastern and South Eastern Europe can apply for a reduced ISUWU fee. Students who receive this scholarship pay a reduced program fee.

The application for the WU scholarship is open to students studying in: Albania (University of Shkodra, “Luigj Gurakuqi”), Bosnia and Herzegovina (University of Banja Luka, University of Sarajevo), Montenegro (University of Montenegro), Russian Federation (M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, National Research University Higher School of Economics, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, St. Petersburg University), Serbia (University of Belgrade), and Ukraine (Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University KNEU).
Both scholarships include the following services
Business courses with an international perspective
Use of WU's library, computer labs, eLearning services, and language resource center
Company visits & guest speaker sessions
Lunch (Monday through Friday on lecture days)
Accommodation in a students' residence hall off-campus*
Internet access (WiFi) on campus and in residence halls
Public transportation ticket within Vienna for the whole time of the session
Sightseeing tour Vienna
cultural events in Vienna: Vienna State Opera (planned, but subject to availability) or an alternative event
Opportunities for intercultural exchange through the social and cultural program and information on student-friendly weekend packages for exploring Europe, entry fees are to be paid by the students themselves

How to apply
An essay according to the WU Scholarship Essay Guidelines CEE or WU Scholarship Essay Guidelines GBSN has to be written for either scholarship and submitted together with the application documents when applying for the ISUWU. Applicants are selected for the scholarship based on the quality of their application documents and their previous academic performance.
The WU scholarship is non-recurring, i.e. students may only participate in ISUWU once at this special reduced rate. Moreover the number of available scholarships is limited.
