Research Stay at Stanford University

Magdalena Winkler was selected for a competitive research stay at Stanford University through the SCANCOR program from September to December 2024.
 

During her stay, Magdalena presented her work on the emergence of the cultivated meat industry, connected with scholars from across the globe, and engaged in meaningful discussions related to her research. As part of her academic activities, she had the opportunity to participate in Professor Woody Powell's PhD class on "Organization Theory" and attended various research seminars with both the SCANCOR community and in the Management Science and Engineering Department. The PhD class proved especially valuable, as Magdalena learned a great deal about organizational theory that helped her develop her dissertation further.
 

The visit also allowed her to strengthen her connections in Silicon Valley and experience the vibrant Bay Area innovation ecosystem.
