The ISU^WU team will organize a variety of cultural and social activities. These activities give participants the opportunity to gain insights into life in Vienna and the Austrian culture and are a great opportunity get to know their fellow students. The social program is a mix of social, cultural and international events. Activities may include tours of world-famous museums like the "Albertina", a visit to "Schönbrunn" palace, a Viennese waltz dance class, a hike in the hills surrounding Vienna, a brewery tour, bowling, swimming and many more. The social program also typically includes an opening and a closing event, a Vienna city tour and a visit to a traditional Viennese "Heuriger", where students can experience the unique atmosphere of a typical Austrian wine tavern.

It depends on the type of activity. For instance, a city tour of Vienna, a visit to a traditional wine tavern, opening and closing events as well as an "Intercultural Evening" are usually organized for all ISU^WU students and are included in the program fee. For other, optional, activities such as visits to museums, students need to cover the admission fees (usually 5 - 25 EUR) themselves.
