Application & Admission

Only open to a selected group of students, this program is designed for highly motivated students with above-average grades. A background in business economics, industrial engineering, informatics and/or geography, with interests in production, transportation and logistics, business and geo-informatics, and operations research is desirable.

Please note: New regulations on MOI

An MOI (medium of instruction document) is accepted only if the following conditions are met:

  • An official confirmation (stamped and signed) of successful completion of

    • a qualification comparable to the A-Levels at a recognized secondary educational institution in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Ireland, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, or Canada, or

    • a three-year bachelor’s or doctoral program or a two-year master’s program at a recognized post-secondary educational institution in an EU/EEA country, Switzerland, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, or Canada, which was conducted entirely in English as a full-time program.

If these requirements are not met, proof of meeting another listed requirement for English (e.g., a certificate) must be provided. (English requirements)

Online Application

All required documents have to be uploaded online. The admission office checks if the application meets the formal criteria stipulated in the program's ordinance on the selection process

The SCM master's program hands out fast track offers for applicants with an excellent GPA (grade point average).

Selection

Those applications, which fulfil the formal requirements, are forwarded to a panel of experts (professors of the program) who will determine the applicants' aptitude for the program based on the submitted documents.

The panel will consider in particular

  • academic background,

  • skills and knowledge,

  • achievement potential, and

  • subject-specific work experience.

The best applicants receive an admission offer via e-mail which has to be accepted within 10 days.

Enrolment

For enrolment all required documents have to be provided in person at the Study Service Center.

Note: The enrolment period ends usually in the last week of September.
