Orientation and infrastructure
Where is the WU located?
The WU is located at Welthandelsplatz 1 in 1020 Vienna – between the subway stations Messe-Prater and Krieau.
Arrival: How to get to WU?
By Public Transport:
Campus WU is located between the U2 stations Messe-Prater and Krieau. The walk from both subway stations to the LC is approximately the same length (5-10 minutes).
The western part of the campus (WU Executive Academy, Administration, Department buildings 3, 4, and 5, Library & Learning Center) is easily accessible from the U2 station Messe-Prater, exit Messe.
The eastern part of the campus (Teaching Center, Student Center, Department buildings 1 and 2, Library & Learning Center) can be accessed via the U2 station Krieau, exit Krieau.
The campus is also well connected by bus line 82A (three stops around the campus: Trabrennstraße, Südportalstraße or Welthandelsplatz) and tram line 1 (Prater Hauptallee stop).
By Car:
The underground parking garage is located below the main road of the campus. The garage entrance is on Trabrennstraße. There are a total of 411 parking spaces, of which about 180 are available for short-term parking, while the rest are reserved for long-term parkers.
There are 4 access points to the campus from the garage. The garage exits lead to open space, so each building can be accessed via its main entrance on the ground floor.
By Bicycle:
Cycling on the WU campus is not allowed. However, around 1,000 bike racks are located along the bike path that runs around the campus. Approximately 250 of these racks are housed in "bike garages" (access is only with a card).
Citybike stations are located near the U2 stations Messe-Prater and Krieau, as well as at the southern entrance of the WU campus.
