The Art of Teaching 2026

"Good teaching is a form of an art" – guided by this motto, WU has once again put the spotlight on outstanding teaching this year, for the third time.

About the event

Excellent teaching requires not only expertise in the subject matter but also creativity, dedication, and a significant commitment of time. Often, the effort and artistry behind innovative teaching remain unseen.

With the event format “The Art of Teaching”, we aim to highlight this exceptional achievement at WU. We showcase selected teaching projects and designs from various departments in an exhibition. This is followed by the WU Teaching Award ceremony.

New this year!

We invited this years awardees to articulate their motivation and vision for teaching. Alja Piry and Wendelin Pressl interpreted these ideas and expressed them through artworks created specifically for this event.

Visit the "The Art of Teaching" exhibition on WU’s Virtual Campus!

The Virtual Campus is an innovative, three-dimensional environment which, in addition to hosting exhibitions, also enables interaction and collaboration in a virtual space. You can access the Virtual Campus via your web browser; there is no need to download or install any software.
