In der konstituierenden Sitzung des Senats der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien am 16. Oktober 2019 wurde Univ.Prof. Dr. Christian Riegler zum Vorsitzenden des Senats gewählt. Univ.Prof. Dr. Renate Meyer und Dr. Daniela Kremslehner wurden zu stellvertretenden Vorsitzenden des Senats gewählt.

The successful applicant will carry out independent research and supervision activities in the field of Computational Statistics. We are particularly interested in researchers whose scientific work focuses on the computational aspects of modern statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms and their application to the analysis of large data sets. A proven interest in applications from the fields of economics, finance or business is an advantage, but candidates working in other application areas in the fields of social or environmental science are also encouraged to apply. In line with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, teaching duties associated with the position initially comprise 4 hours per week; they can be in quantitative education programs at WU at all Levels (bachelor, master and PhD).

Your profile
You hold a diploma or an MSc as well as a PhD in mathematics, statistics or equivalent. We expect scientific excellence, documented by publications in internationally recognized journals and international experience (a PhD from a non-Austrian university or at least one year of working experience on the postdoc level at a non-Austrian university and a good international network). First managerial experience (e.g. acquisition and/or management of third-party projects) is an advantage. German language skills are not a prerequisite, but we expect the willingness to acquire proficiency in German over time.

Ihr Aufgabenbereich
Im Rahmen der Digitalisierungsstrategie der WU wird sich das Angebot für Studierende, Wissenschaftler/inne/n und Mitarbeitende zukünftig stark vergrößern und weiterentwickeln. Dabei sollen alle Zielgruppen die Möglichkeit haben, im Sinne einer „Open Innovation" ihre Ideen einzureichen und Innovationsprojekte auf den Weg zu bringen. Als Leiter/in des Program Office sind Sie für die Koordination und Umsetzung der eingereichten Projekte zuständig.

Zu den Aufgaben gehören insbesondere:
-   Mitarbeit bei Planungs,-, Budgetierungs-, Controlling- und Berichtstätigkeiten rund um das Innovationsprogramm
-   Managen der KPIs und der Meilensteine des Innovationsprogrammes auf strategischer und operationaler Ebene
-   Sicherstellen der ergebnisorientierten Vorgangsweise vor allem bei der Koordination von „Proof-of-Concepts" mit allen relevanten Beteiligten
-   Durchführen von Recherchen und Solution Scouting
-   Ansprechpartner/in für alle Mitarbeitenden des Program Office im täglichen Betrieb
-   Sicherstellen eines angemessenen Qualitäts- und Zeit-Managements zusammen mit der Vizerektorin für Infrastruktur und Digitalisierung und dem CIO

Ihr Profil
-   Abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium idealerweise im Bereich Betriebswirtschaft, Marketing, New Media o.ä.
-   Mehrjährige Erfahrung im Programmmanagement oder ähnlichen Tätigkeiten
-   Sehr gute Projektmanagement Kenntnisse
-   Hohes Interesse an Themenstellungen der Digitalisierung
-   Erfahrung in einer Position mit Führungsverantwortung oder als Projektleiter/in erwünscht
-   Erfahrung in der Nutzung von Program-/Projektmanagement Tools, sehr gute MS Office Kenntnisse sowie Erfahrung bei der Betreuung von Webseiten und Social Media
-   Ausgezeichnete Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse
