International Short Programs abroad for bachelor's students

Every year, WU students have the opportunity to participate in various International Short Programs abroad. Some of these programs are organized by WU in cooperation with partner universities, while other programs are organized entirely by WU partner universities. 

Who can apply for International Short Programs?

International Short Programs abroad organized by WU

The ISPs listed below are jointly organized by WU and partner universities. ISPs are characterized by:

  • Participation of students and faculty from both WU and the partner university

  • An integrated course concept addressing a topic from multiple perspectives

  • A combination of theoretical input and practical components, such as project work, company visits, and field trips

  • Cultural and social activities designed to foster intercultural exchange

For most programs, participants are responsible for arranging and covering their own travel and accommodation. Further details can be found on the respective program page.

In winter semester 2026/2027, WU offers the following ISPs together with partner universities:

International Short Programs organized by WU partner universities

In addition to WU-organized ISPs, WU partner universities offer a variety of short programs that are open to WU students. These programs:

  • Are organized and administered by the respective partner university

  • Bring together students from different universities and countries

  • May focus on a specific academic topic or offer a range of courses across different subject areas

  • Combine academic learning with opportunities for international and intercultural exchange

Short programs at WU partner universities (with nomination) 

  • WU students can apply for selected short programs at partner universities based on agreements between WU and the respective university.

  • Students apply via WU and are nominated for these programs upon successful application (see more details on the application process here).

Short programs at WU partner universities (without nomination)

  • In addition to programs with nomination, WU students can apply for short programs organized entirely by WU partner universities. 

  • For these programs you must apply directly via the respective partner university. Nomination by WU is not possible.
