MCA at this year's Department Marketing Research Colloquium 2023

25. September 2023

Two of our Phd students gave a presentation at our this year's Department Marketing Research Colloquium 2023.

Alexander Kulumbeg gave a talk about "Survival of the Fitted: The Role of Dynamic Customer Feedback Information in Customer Lifetime Modeling".
Using dynamic survival models with rather recently developed triple-gamma shrinkage prior, we attempt to analyze and identify latent signals in monthly customer reviews that could indicate approaching customer churn. We are able to identify the influence of text review signals on churn risk, as well as the periods of critical importance for the service provider to expect churn and possibly intervene.

Malik Stromberg gave a talk about "Prescriptive campaign targeting to maximize customer-base revenue".
It dealt with the question of how we can use CLV in the context of targeted campaigns and with new targeting strategies evolving from that.

We look forward to our participation next year!
