Getting a sense of customers' purchase activities outside the firm is of crucial importance when it comes to designing targeted marketing actions for the existing customer base. Our team member Filipe devoted his dissertation on the challenging question of how to measure and to model the proportions of customers' total expenditures made with a firm and its competitors based on internal transaction records.
