Small Group Advisory Meetings and Workshops

Due to the current situation surrounding the coronavirus, we decieded to offer our small group advisory meetings and workshops in a webinar format only. Please see the list below for dates in the summer semester 2020. If you plan to attend a workshop, make sure your equipment (webcam and/or microphone) works properly. The link to access the small group advisory meeting will posted on this website on the day of the webinar.

NEW: Small group advisory meetings will be held in German or English depending on the demand in the individual groups. The meeting will be held in English if anyone with no knowledge of German wants to participate. Questions may of course always be asked in German or English and will be answered in both languages if necessary.

The small group advisory meetings organized by the International Office are very popular with our students. The meetings address topics concerning all phases of an exchange semester: There are small group advisory meetings which cover the application procedure, the process after a successful nomination, and also the return to WU after an exchange semester. We offer separate small group advisory meetings for bachelor’s and master’s students because the application procedures and the process after a successful nomination are different for these two target groups.

*Please note that you cannot attend these meetings in person at the International Office. They are meant to be attended from home or even while you on holiday via your web browser. To join, please click on the link which will be provided on the top of this page on the respective dates, and make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player installed.

Workshop: Writing a motivation letter for a stay abroad (bachelor & master)

In cooperation with the ZBP Career Center, the International Office offers workshops on how to write motivation letters. These workshops will provide you with tips for writing convincing motivational letters and information on what you should include and what not. The techniques learned in this workshop are useful in many different contexts. For example, when you want to apply for a job or when you write your motivational letter when applying for an exchange semester. The workshops are designed for bachelor as well as for master students.
