ENGAGE.EU Online Exchange Initiative

About

Together with its partners in the ENGAGE.EU alliance, WU Vienna launched an online exchange initiative. Students can apply for a range of online courses offered by participating universities.

  • You will be part of a virtual and international classroom. Benefit from international learning opportunities and exchange ideas with students from different countries!

Course offer and application

For details on the courses offer please refer to the ENGAGE course catalog on the ENGAGE.eu website. If you click on "course instance details" you are directed to the application form of each ENGAGE university. Students apply online at the respective partner university. The common application period for fall semester 2024/25 lasts from May 27 - June 24 (midnight). Students will be informed by early July 2024.

Credit Transfer

At the end of your virtual exchange, you will receive an official transcript of records which you will need for the credit transfer process at WU. If you complete an entire module, you will also receive an ENGAGE-issued confirmation ('Supplement').

If you wish to transfer the credits you receive, please note that courses can be accepted as:

  • Free electives (freie Wahlfächer, BaWiSo) / Free electives (BBE)

  • International elective (BaWiSo 19), if the course is business/economics related and is worth at least 4 ECTS credits

For all other credit transfers on bachelor’s and master’s level, please contact our colleagues at the Study Service Center: course.abroad@wu.ac.at. When contacting them, include a course description and name the WU study plan item you wish the credits to be transferred to.

Students of BaWiSo 23 will be able to transfer all ENGAGE credits as part of their courses abroad.
