Diskussion auf Englisch

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development intend to mobilize global efforts to end poverty, fight inequality and corruption, and tackle climate change, among other goals. Not only governments, civil society and academic institutions but also private sector players are called upon to contribute to achieving the SDGs. Yet while cross-sectoral interest is indeed increasing, five years into the Agenda, most of its targets are still far from being met. Much too often, discussions on the SDGs remain on a theoretical, abstract level, without addressing the concrete opportunities and innovation potential for businesses that these goals have to offer or the barriers that block them. At this “WU matters. WU talks.” event, experts will be discussing how the SDGs can be embedded into the way we do business and how they can drive innovation.
