Before you start to think about an internship in Austria, we would like to emphasize that good command of German language is often required for job or internship positions in Vienna. This often applies to both local and international companies.

Due to labor market regulations, you may not have unlimited access to the Austrian labor market depending on your visa, recidence permit, or nationality. In their Online Classroom, WU‘s ZBP Career Center provides resources about labor market regulations and the process when applying for a job opening. In the right hand column (on mobile: towards the bottom of the page), there is also a section on "Working in Austria" which contains resources about the Austrian labor market for international students.

Please make sure that you have all necessary information about your legal right to work before you start applying for jobs, especially if you are in Austria on a visa or residence permit.

WU's ZBP Career Center regularly posts available job and internship positions in an online portal (see link below). Further, they serve students in an advisory capacity. Please note that no guarantees for internship allocation can be made. The WU ZBP Career Center is located in the LC building.
