Visa info sessions
Students from a third country (i.e. not from the EU or Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway & Switzerland) staying in Austria for up to 6 months usually need a visa D. During the visa info sessions, we will provide you with some general information on the application process to help you better understand the steps. Please join one of our sessions below:

Residence permit info sessions
Students from a third country (i.e. not from the EU or Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway & Switzerland) staying in Austria for longer than 6 months need to apply for an Austrian residence permit. During the residence permit info sessions, we will provide you with some general information on the application process to help you better understand the steps. Please join one of our sessions below:

Pre-arrival sessions
A practical 1-hour session for incoming students at WU Vienna, covering public transport in Vienna and Austria and what to expect at the Kickoff events.
Provides guidance on key administrative steps such as the Learning Agreement (LA), confirmation of arrival and registration of residence (Meldezettel).
Designed to ensure students are well-prepared for their arrival and first days in Vienna, including a Q&A session.
