Anita Neumannova, an IMC graduate, receives the prestigious Stephan Koren Prize 2025

The Stephan Koren Prize, established in 1996 by the Full Professors’ Association of WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business), stands as one of the university’s highest honors. This prestigious award is granted to outstanding doctoral graduates whose dissertations and overall academic records ensure and advance WU’s reputation for pioneering research conducted by early-career scholars.

Special congratulations go to Anita Neumannova, PhD, one of this year's seven recipients, for her exceptional work. Her award-winning dissertation, "Digital resilience: Micro-foundations, Formulation, and Implications," explores critical new topics in our digitalized world. Her supervisory team consisted of Prof. Edward W.N. Bernroider, Prof. Nikolaus Obwegeser,and Prof. Roman Brandtweiner.

The formal award ceremony was a highlight of the doctoral graduation celebration, held on November 11, 2025, where certificates were presented by Prof. Anne d'Arcy.
