The master’s program

In the first year, you acquire in-depth knowledge and skills in financial economics, microeconomics, mathematics, statistics, and computing. You will also be trained in using the programming language R by one of its main developers. During the program you will focus particularly on applications in asset management, financial risk management, and advanced statistical data analysis.

In your second year, you specialize. You can choose the Science Track to prepare for an academic career or the Industry Track to train for a career as a quant. You will combine expertise on financial models with computational skills and apply your knowledge in real-world settings in cooperation with our corporate partners.

    Prerequisites for this master’s program include:
    › A relevant prior degree worth a minimum of 180 ECTS credits
    › Examinations in economics, business administration, or finance, worth a minimum of 60 ECTS credits or
    › Examinations in mathematics, statistics, or computing worth a minimum of 45 ECTS credits
    › Sufficient proficiency in English
    › Proof of aptitude
