What are the minimum ECTS criteria?

60 ECTS out of Business Administration and/or Economics and/or Finance OR 45 ECTS out of Stat/Math.

Do I already need to have 180 ECTS and/or fulfill the ECTS criteria (60/45) at the time of my application?

No, but you need to prove that you are able to earn the missing ECTS (of the minimum criteria) until the program starts.

Is a GMAT or GRE mandatory?

No, but we strongly recommend to hand in GMAT and/or GRE test results. In particular, we are interested in the quantitative score. We have no preference for one test over the other.

Do I need to proof my German or English proficiency?

Yes, you need to proof language proficiency C1 in English. For further information please take a look here.

Is there a minimum GPA requirement for admission?

No.

Am I admitted to the program if I fulfill the formal criteria?

No, only promising candidates will be selected by a committee.

Therefore you should try to show your potential as good as possible. We also recommend to hand in reference letters (preferably from professors from the area of Finance, Statistics, Mathematics and/or Computing).

Do I have less chances of being admitted to the program if I apply during the second or third deadline?

No, we admit students during all three deadlines and the chances are always the same. However, we are advising applicants who are non-EU citizens to apply as soon as possible. Austrian visa procedures are complex and demanding. The visa process should be started as early as possible.

When do I need to take a decision to either focus on an industry or a science track?

After the first year.

How long does the program take in general?

Due to our experience, most students manage to finish their studies during four semesters.

Are there many students from abroad in the program?

Yes, we have students from more than 35 different countries.

What is the total tuiton fee for the program?

There is no tuition fee for EU students, the tuition fee for non-EU citizens is about EUR 3.000 for the whole program.

Can I work besides studying?

Yes, but we only recommend to work part-​time. Please be aware that we're a full-time program!

When will the next cohort start?

Every fall, in September.

How are my chances to get a job as a Quant in Vienna?

Quite high, many of our graduates work in top positions in Vienna. More than 90% get a job right after finishing their studies.

How high are the living expenses in Vienna?

About EUR 700-900 per month.
