Concurrent enrollment makes it possible for students who are currently admitted to and registered for a regular degree program at another Austrian university (not at a private university) to attend individual courses at WU. Concurrent enrollment does not apply for Bridging Courses (= refresher courses in mathematics, IT and foreign languages), which are reserved exclusively for WU students. Students with concurrent enrollment do not need to pay additional tuition fees.

Please note that due to the study places specified in the English-language master's degree programs and in the bachelor´s degree program Business and Economics as well as the overloading in the German-speaking Master's degree programs concurrent enrollment is not possible for courses of those programs.

About concurrent enrollment at WU

For new or resumed concurrent enrollment:

• For Bachelor´s programs, students must present an official confirmation that the STEOP has been completed or a transcript documenting completed examinations worth a total of at least 30 ECTS credits (not including recognized exams).

• For Master's programs, students must present a transcript documenting completed examinations worth a total of at least 30 ECTS credits (not including recognized exams), regardless of the initial enrollment to the Master's program. Please note that you will only be allowed to take part in course from the Bachelor's programs.

• For doctoral studies, the current enrollment sheet (Studienbestätigung) of the degree program you are attending at the other university is sufficient

Submitting an application for concurrent enrollment

The enrollment as a Mitbeleger can be carried out during the enrollment period (general enrollment period and re-registration period). If you have never been registered at WU before, you will need to provide all the relevant data for concurrent enrollment using the online pre-registration system.

Afterwards you can send the following documents to studienzulassung@wu.ac.at :  

• confirmation that the STEOP has been completed or transcript documenting completed examinations worth a total of at least 30 ECTS credits and  

• the current enrollment confirmation (Studienbestätigung) of the degree program you are attending at the other university, and

• valid passport

Continuation of concurrent enrollment

You have to announce the continuation of current enrollment each semester new. Please send your current study confirmation within the admission period from your WU-mail address to studienzulassung@wu.ac.at.
