The FIDES profile: your business card to the world

On your personal FIDES page, under "Profile", you can enter a wide variety of information that enables internal and external FIDES users to get an idea of ​​the researchers at WU.

The different categories are: curriculum vitae, awards and honors, research areas according to ÖSTAT classification, expertise (free text) and researcher identifier.

Info: Make entries for other people - assignment of rights

This feature is aimed primarily at members of the general staff (e.g. secretariats). In general, secretarial staff automatically have editing rights for all researchers at the institute. In some cases it may be necessary to extend these rights to research institutes, for example. In this case, we ask those responsible for the institute to send a short e-mail to fides-support@wu.ac.at, in which they agree to the transfer of processing rights in FIDES.

Service: Querying data for institutes / departments

We would be happy to request customized data from FIDES for you, e.g. for annual reports, presentations on websites, etc. Please contact us in good time (fides-support@wu.ac.at) so that we can discuss the exact details of the request.

Next FIDES training

As every year at the beginning of the new semester, we offer an introduction to handling FIDES for new employees and all interested FIDES users who want to refresh their FIDES knowledge. The basic functions of FIDES are explained and questions about handling FIDES are answered.

The training will take place on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 10 a.m. via teams.
