Performance bonuses

First of all, we would like to thank you for your help in keeping the FIDES entries as up-to-date as possible! Especially towards the end of 2020, we were able to record a significant increase in FIDES entries, which is very important for various queries, e.g. for the intellectual capital statement, but also for the WU performance bonuses.

The query of the potential performance bonus recipients was already carried out in January 2021 from FIDES data. The actual recipients will be announced soon and will be invited to the WU Awards. Congratulations to all WU researchers who have published outstanding publications!

Important: Assignment of publications and projects to organizational units

When entering publications (or projects), the affiliations to organizational units of the WU of the person making the entry (= author) are automatically adopted. Please do not delete this! You can add further organizational units, so that people from these were involved in the publication. Simply search for the appropriate department or institute in the "Assigned organizational units" field.

Publications: don't forget to assign projects

When registering new publications, people often forget to assign the project from which they arose. Simply search for the project title in the "Assigned Projects" field and add it to the publication. A major advantage here is that all publications resulting from the project can then be clearly displayed via the project detail view!

Brief info: Inserting abstracts

When creating a new (or editing an existing) publication in FIDES, you have the option of inserting an abstract for some publication categories (e.g. original articles in journals).

In this way, you enable other FIDES users to immediately receive information about what the key messages of your research work are. Please use this option too! You can insert abstracts easily using copy & paste.

Reminder: Enter publications or lectures that have not yet been published

We would like to remind you again that publications in press must not be entered in FIDES if they do not have a valid DOI number. This also applies to lectures at scientific events that have not yet taken place! You will find all necessary information about the correct entry in FIDES in a compact summary in the WU policy for quality assurance in FIDES.
