The Economy, Environment, Politics major

How can we bring about a social-ecological transformation of the economy?

You’re interested in economic issues in a broad sense and want to understand how the global economy can be made fair and climate neutral?

The Economy, Environment, Politics major focuses on the central role of the economy regarding the social challenges of our time (e.g., climate change, resource conflicts, global inequality).

Holistic solutions for global problems

Building on a foundational understanding of business administration, economics, and law, you will look at the links between the economy, politics, and the environment from different perspectives and develop an interdisciplinary understanding of sources of societal conflict (e.g., poverty, injustice, populism).

You will develop analyses and solution strategies for tackling socioeconomic problems based on the findings of the social, economic, and natural sciences. We also equip you with the methodological tools you need to independently develop evidence-based and sustainable courses of action, rethinking and reshaping the future of the economy.
