The Business Administration major

How does a business work?

In the Business Administration major, you’ll learn from the ground up how a company works and what decisions need to be made in a business. You’ll study management, finance, human resource management, product development, marketing, and many other areas. As a result, you’ll discover many connections and interdependencies, and you’ll not only develop an understanding of business functions and processes and their environments, but you’ll also learn how to shape and manage them.

Custom-tailor your degree program

You can customize around a third of the entire major: You get to choose several specializations from over 30 subject areas and design your degree program according to your preferences and interests. You’ll be supplementing the diverse business administration core subjects with up to three specializations (for example: Marketing, Human Resource Management, and International Business) and your choice of free electives. You’ll also be honing your people skills and rounding off your individual profile through ample personal development opportunities.

Courses abroad

You’d like to gain international experience? WU Vienna offers you ample opportunities to do so – you can spend a semester abroad, participate in International Short Programs (ISPs), or take individual (online) courses at WU partner universities.
