As already announced in a recent WU memo post, the staff councils for academic and administrative staff, together with the occupational health management program (BGM), are once again offering our employees the opportunity to participate in this running competition.

Running classes and rankings

Three people form a team and compete in three age groups (total age of the three runners at the time of the race). In each age group, there is a separate ranking for male, female, and mixed teams. WU also receives its own company ranking.

Registration as a team or as an individual

You can register as a team or contact kulturundsport@wu.ac.at if you are unable to form a team. The staff councils will then try to pair individual runners together to form teams. It is also possible to register as a substitute runner. In recent years, ALL individual and substitute runners have been able to participate in the company relay race.

Running track

The trotting track is made of sand and gravel. The company relay race will only take place in dry weather. In the event of extreme rain, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the event (even at short notice).

Race procedure

After each kilometer, there is a handover/changeover to another team member until 10 kilometers have been completed. The score is based on the team's total time after 10 kilometers.

Running shirts

As in previous years, WU will provide runners with matching running shirts.
