2. Remote-Online-Exam

3. Remote Take Home Exam

General Requirements:

  • Computer or laptop (with built-in or external webcam if necessary)

  • Stable internet connection throughout the entire exam period

1. Oral Distance Exam

Technical Equipment & Requirements:

  • Computer or laptop with integrated or external webcam

  • Both microphone and camera must be used by you and your examiners so that voice, facial expressions, and gestures can be perceived as realistically as possible

  • External headsets may not be worn on the head or around the neck!

  • Identity verification will be done via camera using your student ID or official photo ID – so have one ready!

IMPORTANT!

Inform yourself early about the required technical setup and test all components beforehand, e.g. with the Browser-Multimedia-Test.

Communication with Course Instructors and Examiners

Your course instructors or examiners will inform you in advance about how communication for the exam will take place, for example via:

  • Microsoft Teams

  • Chat / Forum on MyLEARN

  • Email

These channels may be used to share important information or changes before the exam, to clarify organizational questions, and – if applicable – to ask subject-specific questions or report technical issues during the exam.

2. Remote-Online-Exams

Only computers or laptops are allowed! No tablets, hybrid devices, or smartphones.

    Participation & grading
The examination is only graded if ...

    • the records of the automated online proctoring (if provided) can be fully analysed.

    • the examination declaration has been confirmed. Please note: With the confirmation, the examination counts as a examination attempt.

    3. Remote Take Home Exams

Remote Take-Home Exams allow for flexible time management: The actual working time is shorter than the overall time window. For example, an exam designed to take 2 hours may be completed within a 6-hour time window (or up to 48 hours, depending on the exam). Before starting, you may need to confirm an exam declaration – this counts as acceptance of the exam materials and is considered an official attempt.

    IMPORTANT!

Make sure to submit your work on time and do not wait until the final seconds before the deadline to avoid technical issues.
