IT Governance, Risk, and Control

Learning Objectives:

Students will learn to distinguish and understand the central concepts
of IT governance, risk and control, and analyse roles of strategy and
management in this context. Furthermore, students will learn to how to
safeguard IT performance (value) and compliance, and appreciate globally recognized support frameworks and standards to safeguard IT control
objectives.

Course Content:

This course aims at developing the following content:

  • IT governance and management processes and objectives

  • External accountability and IT compliance

  • Enterprise IT risk management

  • IT control systems design and evaluation

  • IT auditing and justification

  • IT performance management tools and techniques

  • IT governance, risk and control frameworks (especially: COBIT, ITIL,NIST, COSO)
