Raffael Speitmann, PhD

Raffael Speitmann

Raffael successfully defended his thesis on November 22, 2021. His dissertation covered topics at the intersection of accounting, public economics and international taxation using archival and experimental methods with a particular focus on the effectiveness of tax policy measures. He further holds an MSc in Business Administration from WU Vienna and a BSc in Economics from the University of Munich. Raffael currently works in the Fiscal Policy Analysis Unit at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission. He conducts research and policy analysis in the area of international corporate taxation. Prior to his academic career, he worked as an analyst in the financial sector in Vienna.
