Kunka Petkova, PhD, MSc., BSc.

Kunka Petkova graduated from the University of Mannheim, Germany, with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a minor in Business Administration. In 2016, she completed her Master of Science in International Economics and Economic Policy at the Goethe University in Frankfurt. During her studies there, Kunka worked as a research assistant for Prof. Dr. Weichenrieder at the chair of Public Finance. She has also worked as a liaison officer for finance and economic planning ministers, senior government officials and representatives of the multilateral development bank community. Moreover, she did internships at Mercedes-Benz, PricewaterhouseCoopers, the German Ministry of Finance and Deutsche Bank.

Kunka also spent time as a visiting researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, and at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. In 2020, she successfully completed the Doctoral Program in International Business Taxation (DIBT) at WU with the dissertation: "Corporate and Withholding Tax Rates in an International Setting".
