Student Recruiting and Admissions provides information and support for students and prospective students regarding their studies at WU, especially during the early phases. It is part of the Rector's Council (Vice Rector for Academic Programs and Student Affairs) and consists of the following units:

Tasks and Responsibilities

Study Information
  • Providing information and support for students and prospective students (face-to-face, phone, email)

  • Recruiting students

  • Information events for students and prospective students

  • Orientation program for new students (Welcome Days)

  • Mentoring@WU: peer-to-peer program for Bachelor's students

  • WU@School: information and support for schools

  • WU4YOU: a scholarship program for talented students

  • Children’s University of Business and Economics

  • MORE Program for refugees

  • Mondi International Scholarship

  • Preparing study-related information materials (print) and web editing

  • Miscellaneous confirmations for students

  • Admission of Austrian and non-Austrian students (enrollment, re-registration, switching to another program, enrolling in additional programs, expiration of enrollment)

  • Student IDs (first-time issuing, duplicates in case of loss, theft, or card defect)

  • Changing personal data (name changes or change of address)

  • Tuition fees (fee calculation and notification, exemptions, tuition fee reimbursements)

  • Leave of absence
