Commitment to the global sustainability goals, interdisciplinary development of approaches to solutions, and linking science and society. The Sustainability Challenge has successfully integrated these important tasks for over 10 years and is the recipient of the ACEEU's "SDG Education Programme of the Year" Award. The timing couldn't be better than at the festive closing of the current cohort, which connects 55 students and 16 teachers, coaches and mentors from 7 universities, including WU, and over 30 fields of study with 8 service learning partners and 4 start-up teams.

"SDG Education Program of the Year" Award - Entrepreneurship and Engagement in Higher Education.

The Sustainability Challenge received the "SDG Education Programme of the Year" award for the outstanding design and innovation-promoting learning setting of the cross-university course. On the one hand, it succeeds in placing the Sustainable Development Goals in the focus of all activities and developing creative approaches to solutions. On the other hand, the bridging from science to society is achieved through the concrete cooperation of various stakeholders - from students of different fields of study to experts from universities, entrepreneurship centers and business as well as social practice, such as companies, ministries or NGOs.
