The best ideas for the new austrian university app win 1000€ and get to compete in a global hackathon initiative.

Together with the University of Graz, and VetMed, WU Vienna is organizing a two-day online hackathon to reinvent the digital student experience. Our challenge will be to improve the students' everyday life by leveraging the capabilities of a smartphone (app). The team of innovators convincing the participants and our jury can win 1000€.

In the framework of the Mobile First Project, funded by the federal ministry of education, science and research, three core fuctions will be built. The hackathon is designed to evaluate what else brings value to the students' digital university experience.

Throughout those two days you will not only become part of a worldwide changemaker community, but you can also expect exciting workshops with experienced mentors, who will support you in developing your ideas and of course, a lot of fun.

For more information and to sign up for the hackathon click here! As the available slots for participation are limited, please only register if you are fully committed to engage in the idea finding process throughout those two days. The application deadline is 3rd November 23:59

No team? No ideas yet? No worries! We make sure you will be matched with teammates from our Hackathon community. You can choose to sign up alone or as a team.
Ideation will be part of the event, so don’t worry if you don’t have an idea yet what the app should be capable of!

The event is embedded in the DigiEduHack initiative under the Digital Education Action Plan of the European Commission. DigiEduHack is a series of online and offline idea-hackathons happening all around the world during two days, focusing on co-creating the future of education in the digital age.
