Booking Project Rooms, Carrels or Tandem learning rooms

Are you looking for a space where you can study, prepare a presentation, or work on a case study in a small group setting? For these kinds of work, you can book one of the many project rooms that are available on Campus WU. Carrels are small rooms for individual study that can be booked by WU students who are working on their master’s or doctoral/PhD theses (e.g. for research work, writing, etc.). Tandem learning rooms are intended primarily for language learning activities

Project rooms can be booked using the online booking tool Rooms. You can log in with your WU user name (h + student ID number) and password.

Please note the following rules for booking project rooms:

  • Project rooms can only be booked by WU degree program students (NOT by concurrently enrolled students or non-degree program students).

  • Rooms may be booked up to 14 days in advance.

  • Rooms may be booked for a maximum of two hours.

  • Students may have up to three open reservations (i.e. future reservations) at one time.

  • During the semester, students can reserve time slots during the following periods: Mon–Fri from 8:00am to 9:30pm, Sat from 8:00am to 5:30pm (no reservations can be made for Sundays and holidays).

  • During the time slot you have reserved, your student ID number and the text “Raumbuchung h+student ID number” will be shown on the project room’s door display.

Further important information:

  • Use your student ID card to open the room reserved in your name. We recommend updating your student ID card at an access reader with update function every time before you use a project room.

  • Please be sure not to leave any valuables or personal items unattended in project rooms. Please leave project rooms in an orderly condition after use.

  • If you find your project room or its equipment in a damaged or disorderly condition, please send an email with the room number to studentbookings@wu.ac.at.

Please note: You are responsible for the project room reserved in your name during the booked time slot. This means that you will have to bear the consequences in case of misbehavior.

* Access readers with update function are located on all levels of all buildings on campus. To update your access authorization status, just hold your student ID card in front of the reader until the blue blinking light of the narrow vertical diode turns green.
