ISU stands for …
I – for International Summer University programs worldwide
Together with its partner universities, WU organizes International Summer University programs (ISUs). Every year, approximately 120 WU students take part in these intensive short programs in important economic regions in Central and Eastern Europe and Asia. The programs give students the opportunity to complete a high-quality, internationally oriented academic program.
S – for study progress
WU students can transfer credits earned during International Summer University programs to their WU bachelor’s program. A maximum of 8 ECTS credits can be transferred per ISU. For the International Business Administration major, the short program is eligible for recognition as international experience for the International Business Administration major.
U – for an unforgettable experience and fascinating cultures
WU students have the opportunity to improve their soft skills by working in culturally diverse teams together with students of the respective partner universities. Beyond that, contact with businesses, excursions, and cultural events give deeper insights into the economy and culture of the host country. "I think that the exchange of ideas and opinions of international students is what makes up the whole International Summer University program. Most of the classes were very interactive. Thus, we had many discussions among us during the classes. Due to the diversity of personalities as well as specifically the diversity of cultures those discussions were deeply interesting as well as inspirational, and I believe that some of these conversations also contributed a lot to broadening our horizons."
