International Exchange Lounge
Each academic year, WU welcomes around 1.000 incoming exchange students and sends 1.000 outgoing students to one of around 240 partner universities. But how international are we really? The International Office invites you to discuss this question with incoming and future outgoing students at our International Exchange Lounge.
The event will give students the chance to network, to exchange their experiences, and to discuss the importance of internationality and mobility in a nice atmosphere with snacks and drinks. After the networking part of the event, incoming students will have the opportunity to stay for an optional part of the event on “Things to do before you leave” with their respective regional coordinators.
When and where?

Impressions from last semester's event...
In order to provide future outgoing students from WU and incomings from WU’s partner universities with the possibility to network, the International Office at WU organized an event called “International Exchange Lounge” this semester for the first time which took place on May 9, 2018, at WU.
The students were invited to exchange experiences and impressions and to discuss the importance of globalization and internationality both for their studies and their careers. The keynote address with the title “How global are we?” by Prof. Phillip Nell provided surprising insights and illustrated that the world is far less connected than it is commonly assumed.
To round off the event, the regional coordinators from WU informed the incoming exchange students about the last steps to take before leaving Vienna after this semester.
