Cameras

Most teaching rooms at WU are equipped with cameras. These can only be used in conjunction with the presenter PC. You can use them directly in the teaching room for recording lectures or streaming via Microsoft Teams or Zoom. In teaching rooms without a camera, a webcam must be used. Please bring your own webcam or borrow one from the IT Service Desk at the Teaching Center (map).

Camera Settings

LCAST button

You can choose between 3 camera settings by pressing the "LCAST" button on the control panel or touch panel.

Setting 1 | Lectern Area

  • Without tracking.

  • The lectern, monitor, and one projection screen are visible.

  • The camera light is steadily blue.

Setting 2 | Tracking Mode

  • With tracking.

  • The tracking starting point is the area around the lectern. When tracking mode is selected, the camera locks onto the person located in this area. If someone other than the presenter is detected, press the “LCAST” button repeatedly until “Tracking Mode” is activated again.

  • The LCAST button is highlighted orange and illuminated blue. The camera light blinks blue.

Setting 3 | Classroom Area

  • Without tracking.

  • Both projection screens and the largest possible area of the teaching room are visible.

  • The camera light is steadily blue.

Hybrid Teaching

For hybrid teaching, all seminar rooms 30 and lecture halls 60 on the 3rd and 4th floors of the Teaching Center (TC), as well as lecture halls TC.5.05 and D2.0.342, are particularly suitable. In addition to cameras, they are also equipped with ceiling microphones.
