Interactive Whiteboard

In all seminar rooms, an interactive whiteboard with touch functionality is available. You can write and draw on it. Everything can be saved and reused for the next session or made available to the students.

Getting Started

  1. Check whether the interactive whiteboard is turned on (green indicator light).

  2. Place the two pens and the eraser in the designated holder so that they are recognized by the system.

  3. Then open a whiteboard program—either “Microsoft Whiteboard” or “SMART Notebook” —and start writing on a blank surface.

  4.

Pens & Eraser

The pens and eraser for the interactive whiteboard can be borrowed from the IT Service Desk at the Teaching Center (map).

Troubleshooting - Calibrating the Pen

If the pen writes offset, calibrating usually helps:

1. Tap the SMART Board icon in the notification area at the bottom right of the taskbar and click on "Orient."

2. Targets will appear on the screen, which you tap one after another with the pen and your finger until the process is complete.
