Are you interested in pursuing the German-taught bachelor’s program in Business Law at WU and starting this program during the 2022/23 academic year? If so, please register for the selection procedure.
The selection procedure is held once a year. If you pass the selection procedure, you will be able to enroll at WU and start this program in the 2022/23 winter semester or the 2023 summer semester. In the 2022/23 academic year, there are 870 available places.
In previous years there have usually been more applications than available study places, which is why we assume our two-step selection procedure will also come into effect this year. As soon as we know, we will inform you on this page and by e-mail. For more information on the selection procedure, please see the detailed information and our FAQ's below.

Please upload your secondary school leaving certificate in the registration tool as soon as you have it. However, this is not mandatory but optional. Thank you for your help.

Decision on Whether Selection Procedure Will StartClick here for more information
Have you completed your registration and paid the registration fee by the deadline? If so, we will send you an email a few days after the registration deadline to let you know whether or not the selection procedure will start.
In which case will the selection procedure start?
If the number of applicants who complete the online registration and pay the fee during the registration period exceeds the number of available places in the bachelor’s program, the selection procedure will start. If there are fewer applicants than available places, the selection procedure will not go forward. In this case, you can enroll in the program for the desired semester (i.e., for the following winter or summer semester) during the enrollment period if you fulfill all formal admission requirements – for more information, please refer to our application guide.
Update, May 20, 2022:
The number of applicants for the 2022/23 academic year who have completed the online registration and paid the registration fee by the deadline exceeds the number of places available in this program. Therefore, the selection procedure will start. For more information on the selection procedure, please refer to the information below.
If the Selection Procedure Is Held
Step 1: Online-Self-Assessment, until May 31, 2022Click here for more information
If the selection procedure starts, you have to complete the Online-Self-Assessment (OSA) by May 31, 2022. You will find your personal access link to the OSA in the registration tool (as of March 2022). Access to the OSA is only possible by clicking on your personal link. If you have already completed the OSA during the online registration period, you need not do it again – Please check your OSA status in the registration tool (green checkmark).
The OSA may help you decide if this bachelor’s program is right for you. It includes questions on:
your expectations and interests,
The OSA will not be graded. This means that the kind of answers you give on the OSA will not affect your chances of passing/failing the selection procedure. The important thing is that you complete the OSA by the deadline. At the end of the OSA, you will get detailed feedback. Please read the feedback very carefully. It may help you decide whether this bachelor’s program is a good fit for you.
What happens after May 31, 2022?
We will send you an email a few days after May 31, 2022 to let you know whether or not you will have to complete the written exam (see Step 2: Written Exam).
In which case will the written exam be necessary?
If more registered applicants complete the OSA (Step 1) by the deadline than there are places available, step 2 of the selection procedure will also come into effect: the written exam. If there are fewer applicants completing the OSA, the written exam will not be necessary. In this case, you can enroll in the program for the desired semester (i.e., for the following winter or summer semester) during the enrollment period if you fulfill all formal admission requirements – for more information, please refer to our application guide.
Update, June 1, 2022:
Due to the number of OSAs completed by the deadline, Step 2 of the selection procedure will also be held: the written exam.
