Would you like to apply for the German-taught bachelor’s program in Business Law (Wirtschaftsrecht, BaWIRE in short)?

You can do so once a year in spring by registering for the selection procedure. If you pass the selection procedure (if it is held), you will be able to enroll in the program in the following winter or summer semester and start the program.

Update: The entrance exam 2019/20 will be held on July 10, 2019.

The number of applicants for the 2019/20 academic year who have completed the online registration and paid the registration fee by the deadline exceeds the number of places available in this program. Therefore, the selection procedure will start. For more information on the selection procedure, please refer to the information below.

If the Selection Procedure Is Held

Step 1: Online-Self-Assessment, until May 31, 2019

If more applicants have completed the OSA by May 31, 2019 than there are places available, step 2 of the selection procedure will also come into effect: the entrance exam. You will receive an email by June 18, 2019 at the latest informing you whether the exam will take place or not. If the exam takes place, you have to take the exam in person in Vienna and on exam day; there is no alternative date and no possibility to take the exam online.

Important: Please upload your secondary school leaving certificate in the registration tool by the exam day.

Due to the number of OSAs completed by the deadline, Step 2 of the selection procedure will also be held: the entrance exam on July 10, 2019.

Important Note

The entire selection procedure for the bachelor’s program in Business Law is conducted in German - including all communications with applicants, the OSA, and the entrance exam. Sufficient proficiency in German is necessary for taking part in the selection procedure.

Please note that we do not cover or refund any expenses you may incur in connection with the selection and admission procedure.

The following special provisions apply to selected applicants:

  • Have you already been admitted and enrolled in our bachelor’s program in Business Law in the past? You do not need to register for the selection procedure.

  • Do you have a long-lasting physical or mental disability that makes it difficult or impossible for you to take the written entrance exam? Please contact WU’s BeAble team (beable@wu.ac.at) during the online registration period (March 1 – May 15, 2019). Our BeAble team will work with you to find out if and how you can participate in the entrance exam. Please note: You still have to register for the selection procedure and complete the Online-Self-Assessment. Exceptions to the regular selection procedure for this group of applicants apply only to the written entrance exam in July.
