If the Selection Procedure Is Held
Step 1: Online-Self-Assessment, until June 2, 2020Click here for more information
If the selection procedure starts, you have to complete the Online-Self-Assessment (OSA) by June 2, 2020. You will find your personal access link to the OSA in the registration tool. Access to the OSA is only possible by clicking on your personal link. If you have already completed the OSA during the online registration period, you need not do it again – Please check your OSA status in the registration tool.
The OSA may help you decide if this bachelor’s program is right for you. It includes questions on:
your expectations and interests,
The OSA will not be graded. This means that the kind of answers you give on the OSA will not affect your chances of passing/failing the selection procedure. The important thing is that you complete the OSA by the deadline. At the end of the OSA, you will get detailed feedback. Please read the feedback very carefully. It may help you decide whether this bachelor’s program is a good fit for you.
What happens after June 2, 2020?
We will send you an email by June 9, 2020 to let you know whether or not you will have to submit an essay (see Step 2: Essay).
Important: Step 2 was originally planned as an entrance exam. However, due to COVID-19, the exam has been replaced by an essay. This means that applicants must submit an essay if Step 2 of the selection procedure comes into effect.
In which case will the essay be necessary?
If more registered applicants complete the OSA (Step 1) by the deadline than there are places available, step 2 of the selection procedure will also come into effect: the essay. If there are fewer applicants completing the OSA, the essay will not be necessary. In this case, you can enroll in the program for the desired semester (i.e., for the following winter or summer semester) during the enrollment period – for more information, please refer to our application guide.
Due to the number of OSAs completed by the deadline, Step 2 of the selection procedure will also be held: the essay.
