If the number of applicants who complete the online registration during the registration period exceeds the number of places available in the program (number of places: 870), the selection procedure will start. If there are fewer applicants than available places, the selection procedure will not go forward. In this case, you can enroll in the program for the desired semester (i.e., for the following winter or summer semester) during the admission period – for more information, please refer to our application guide.
If you have successfully registered by the deadline, you will receive an email on May 17, 2019 informing you whether or not the selection procedure will be held.
The number of applicants for the 2019/20 academic year who have completed the online registration and paid the registration fee by the deadline exceeds the number of places available in this program. Therefore, the selection procedure will start. For more information on the selection procedure, please refer to the information below.
If the Selection Procedure Is Held
Step 1: Online-Self-Assessment, until May 31, 2019Click here for more information
The Online-Self-Assessment (OSA) is a required part of the selection procedure. When registering online, you will receive a link and your personal login data for the OSA questionnaire in the registration tool. You have to complete the OSA by May 31, 2019. The OSA will not be graded. It is intended to give you a realistic idea of the bachelor’s program and of how the program is organized. It includes questions on your motivation, expectations, and interests. It also offers exercises that test essential skills required for the program (law, mathematics). Once you have completed the OSA, you will receive feedback online so as to help you compare your skills and expectations with the nature and requirements of the bachelor’s program. The OSA is solely intended to help you make an informed decision when choosing your bachelor’s program and therefore will not be graded. This means that the answers you give on the OSA will not affect your chances of passing/failing the selection procedure for the bachelor’s program in Business Law.
If more applicants have completed the OSA by May 31, 2019 than there are places available, step 2 of the selection procedure will also come into effect: the entrance exam. You will receive an email by June 18, 2019 at the latest informing you whether the exam will take place or not. If the exam takes place, you have to take the exam in person in Vienna and on exam day; there is no alternative date and no possibility to take the exam online.
Important: Please upload your secondary school leaving certificate in the registration tool by the exam day.
Due to the number of OSAs completed by the deadline, Step 2 of the selection procedure will also be held: the entrance exam on July 10, 2019.
