Students of our major, "Entrepreneurship and Innovation" (Prof. Franke und Prof. Lettl) have achieved great success in the Austrian Businessplanning-Competition "i2b & GO!“ 2013:

<h5 class="heading">2nd prize in the students category</h5>

The team of students, Thomas Eisenmenger, Daniel Holzner, Claudia Nesensohn, Sophia Mikulits and Gabriela-Maria Reichelt (with external coaches: Dr. Stefan Riedler and Mag. Franz Walch) elaborated a business plan for the innovative e-scooter LEA, developed by Lohnerwerke GmbH including detailled market and competition analysis. This start-up is actually a re-vitalized family business by Andreas Lohner, following the trends of urban electric micro-mobility. He follows a tradition as his ancestors had presented the worlds first electrical car together with Porsche in 1899.

The novel electric motor of the little runabout can be charged to 80 % within one hour while its range extender, an innovative combustion motor adds another 200 km to its electric range, resulting in total 300 km. In addition, each modell is customizable in design and chassis. A sharp marketing concept and a sophisticated mix of sales channels such as a flagship-store, the shop-in-shop concept and an online-store form the basis of an extensive planning of sales and finances.

The awarded business plan was crafted in the E&I course "Business Planning", in summer term of 2013 under direction of Mag. Vesna Babaja, MIM, of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Mag. Florian Schirg of the Institute for Strategy, Technology and Organization.

Moreover, our former project partner (projekt course: Business Model Innovation) and guest lecturer, Mag. (FH) Constantin Simon has been awarded both the first prize in his category, "service, trade and commerce" and over all categories for the business plan on his brewery start-up Nixe Brau GmbH.

The official pictures of the awarding ceremony with the federal minister for science and research, Karlheinz Töchterle, are available here.

We congratulate both teams to their achievements!

<h5 class="heading">About i2b & GO!:</h5>
