The Art of Teaching

01/07/2025

A poster exhibition on “The Art of Teaching 2025” is now available to visitors of our virtual campus.

Excellent teaching requires not only expertise but also a great deal of creativity, commitment, and time. But the amount of effort and skill that goes into innovative teaching designs often remain hidden.

With this in mind, we once again asked our award-winning WU faculty members to put their motivation and vision for teaching into words this year. Various designers then gave visual form to the teachers' responses.

The resulting artfully designed posters were not not only displayed on the physical WU campus, but they’re also available for viewing on our Virtual Campus.

Award-winning teaching at WU

In this virtual exhibition space, you will find not only the posters of the Innovative and Excellent Teaching award winners and the nominees for the national Ars Docendi teaching award – it also presents innovations in the field of digital teaching. The insights into the diversity of teaching at WU and the strong commitment of WU’s faculty are complemented by posters on projects where teachers examine their own teaching activities from a scientific perspective as part of our Scholarship of Teaching and Learning initiative.

In the innovative, three-dimensional environment of our Virtual Campus space, a project WU has developed as part of the FLEX Center innovation program and ENGAGE.EU, visitors move through the virtual rooms as avatars. The navigation is very user-friendly and the Virtual Campus can be accessed easily using a web browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
