WU extends its warmest congratulations!

Two research projects by WU researchers have been successful.

Granting of funding through the Austrian National Bank’s (OeNB) original anniversary fund

“Sustainable research and innovation are among the essential prerequisites for the future development of our country and its position as a business hub. They form the foundation for evidence-based decisions and forward-looking approaches that deliver sustainable added value for society. Through the Anniversary Fund and other funding initiatives, the OeNB therefore provides targeted support to early-career researchers and creates attractive conditions so that outstanding talents in Austria can successfully carry out their research projects,” emphasizes Edeltraud Stiftinger, Vice Governor of the Austrian National Bank (OeNB).

Following a comprehensive evaluation, the OeNB’s Executive Board approved funding for the following 14 research projects (out of 56 applications) with approximately 3.2 million EUR from the Anniversary Fund to promote research and teaching in academia during its first award meeting in 2026. Two of these projects are from WU.
