Vera Kunczer wins Best Dissertation in International Management award at 2021 Academy of Management Annual Meeting

Vera Kunczer, PhD and now Teaching & Research Associate at the Institute for International Business, won the award for her dissertation titled “Political dynamics and anti-foreignism: multinational investments under political disorder”

The Academy of Management, the preeminent professional association for management and organization scholars, held its 81st Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM 2021) this past summer. With the theme “Bringing the Manager Back in Management”, the conference aimed to shape business education and research to best develop and prepare managers for the growing uncertainties of the future. The International Management Division D’Amore-McKim School of Business, Northeastern University Award for the Best Dissertation, is presented to the best dissertation with a focus on research in management and organization theory, research, and practice with a cross-border or cross-cultural dimension. Vera was recognized for her dissertation titled “Political dynamics and anti-foreignism: multinational investments under political disorder”, which analyzes the impact of anti-foreign developments and policy on MNCs and their foreign investments.
