Prof. Franke’s papers were cited more than 3.000 times according to data released by Web of Science.

The Web of Science (SSCI) is the world's most trusted publisher-independent global citation database. It only measures citations made by articles published in highly acknowledged journals; a thorough editorial process ensures journal quality.

As a comparison: Google scholar measures citations made by most peer-reviewed online academic journals, books, and academic theses. According to Google Scholar, Prof. Franke’s work was cited almost 11 thousand times.
