Prof. Franke wins INFORMS TIMES Best Paper Award

Prof. Franke recently won a major paper award by one of the leading academic publishers

The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) is an international society for practitioners in the fields of operations research, management science, and analytics. With Organization Science, Management Science, Strategy Science and Informations Systems Research, INFORMS publishes some of the most renowned and most highly ranked publications in the field of Management. TIMES refers to the Technology, Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship Section. The TIMES Best Paper Award is awarded annually. The top-five papers by citation among all published papers corresponding to the TIMES research fields that were published in INFORMS journals five years earlier, i.e. in this case 2014, are evaluated by a panel of senior leaders in the TIMES field to determine the most impactful research paper.

E&I is proud to announce that the paper "Integrating problem solvers from analogous markets in new product ideation" (Management Science): https://pubsonline.informs.org/doi/10.1287/mnsc.2013.1805 by Prof. Franke, Prof. Poetz (CBS) and Prof. Schreier (WU Wien) has been chosen as the TIMES Best Paper 2019. The award ceremony took place in Seattle.

Award winners in the last years include researchers such as Carliss Baldwin (HBS), Eric von Hippel (MIT), Barry Bayus (UNC – Kenan-Flagler Business School), Florian Ederer (Yale University, School of Management) and Gustavo Manso (University of California at Berkeley, Haas School of Business).
