In Ukraine more than 20.000 Images and Videos have been uploaded."

Why is a scientific discourse on Legal Tech interesting for businesses?

Scientific discourse is valuable for businesses because it advances the underlying technology that all businesses’ solutions are built upon.

How can businesses profit from Legal Tech?

Corporate lawyers and law firms can benefit from Legal Tech by reducing costs and increasing efficiency and thereby creating competitive advantages: Firstly, Legal Tech helps you to find answers more quickly. Secondly, technologies like legal intelligence empower lawyers to find better arguments.

Why is the European Scientific Legal Tech Summit important for the legal tech market?

The summit provides a crucial platform for connecting key players and facilitating knowledge exchange. By bringing together legal tech companies, academic researchers, lawyers, policymakers and other stakeholders, the summit fosters greater collaboration and innovation. The exchange of ideas, insights and experiences at such an event can accelerate the development and adoption of new legal technologies. It allows participants to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and tools in order to boost the growth and impact of legal technology.

How do you think Legal Tech will develop over the next three years?

I think Legal Tech, especially generative AI, will gain significant importance over the next three years. I am optimistic about the future of our industry: I believe that jobs will not be cut, but rather evolve. Especially generative AI has the potential to transform daily workflows and the way how lawyers are solving legal problems. Lexis+ AI, that’s our solution that was launched in the US last year, offers three use cases: It can summarize text (for example, case law) with just a click. Conversational Search: Lexis+ AI can respond intelligently to legal questions, retrieve substantiated legal knowledge and provide appropriate citations. Drafting: Lexis+ AI can generate text and email drafts and also adapt the writing style and tone. We are already working on bringing those use cases to Austrian lawyers.
