Kurt-Rothschild-Award

28/09/2017

INEQ's Mathias Moser and Stefan Humer have been awarded the Kurt-Rothschild-Award for their contributions on data-based tax reform evaluations. Congratulations!

Almost 10 years ago, Stefan Humer and Mathias Moser started to accompany Austrian tax reform proposals using their in-house microsimulation solution TAXSIM. This data-driven modelling solution allows to evaluate tax reforms on an individual level and promotes distribution effects on persons and households as a central topic in such discussions.

For this contribution they have been awarded the 2017 Kurt-Rothschild-Award on distributional issues. Another major recipient of the award is Marcel Fratzscher who recently visited INEQ to present his new book.
